Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: JD role not limited to TSC\xe2\x80\x99s subsidies and/or associate silica beneficiation companies; Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

• Reporting to the Senior General Manager;
• Responsible for the overall management of a multi-shift environment and will coordinate of mining operations including production, logistics and maintenance while ensuring compliance with all labour, safety, environmental and corporate policies and regulations;
• Manage mining operation for efficient and optimal production level, including scheduling of personnel and equipment (dredgers & ect);
• Prepare maintenance schedule for Dredgers and other machineries yearly;
• To maintain pipeline from the Dredger to Plant boundary;
• Involve in exploration drilling jobs;
• Plays an integral part in mine, plant and jetty operation;
• Assists in coordinating activities between Mining, Sales and Operations to ensure proper balance between production (stockpile management) and inventory levels in order to serve the customers;
• Liaise with Jabatan Mineral & Geosains, Terengganu in all matter related to mining;
• Responsible on the submission of monthly report Galian 338 PLB to Jabatan Mineral & Geosains, Terengganu;
• In charge of Borang 13D handling and submission to Pejabat Tanah & Galian Negeri Terengganu;
• Responsible in developing and maintaining motivated staff and achieved budgetary and production targets;
• Provide regular reports on progress and overall silica plant operation to the General Manager;
• Coordinating Mining Management in developing and tracking the operating and capital budgets. Assists in developing justification for unplanned items;
• Effectively manage labor requirements/manpower planning, production planning, stock management and instrumentation calibration;
• Able to effectively manage all employees and effectively liaise with other managers/senior officers in order to meet Company business objectives;
• Liaise with Service & Mechanical Engineers to schedule and monitor fixed and mobile equipment maintenance programs;
• Ensures all mine personnel are continuously trained in order to understand promote, and follow Terengganu Silica Consortium\'s Safety, Health, and Environmental standards and meet the zero incident/zero loss goal and works with SHE staff and Company officials to promote a safe work environment that meets all Malaysian State and Federal rules and regulations;
• Participates in the selection, hiring, training and change of status and separation of employees;
• Assist TSC management with identifying and developing operations and management talents;
• Liaise with Security Department when necessary to ensure alignment of maintenance and security issues and to review security matters with the management;
• To coordinate with TSC Management team in defining TSC policies and procedural;
• Involve in the daily production meetings and weekly safety meetings;
• Communicate effectively with cross shift. Involve in exploration drilling jobs;
