MLOps DevOps Engineer (m/w)

Would you like to be part of DHL IT Services Digital Solutions team that pushes technological boundaries? Then look no more! Our Data Solutions Support team is looking for that curious individual that wants to propel corporate technology usage into the modern era!

As part of the Analytics Solutions Support team, you will work with other curious minded people to support our Corporate Development business partners, to incorporate new and exciting data analytics technologies into our stack! This is a new venture, with green field opportunities to help shape how MLOps Platforms are used within DHL IT Services.

You will integrate, further develop, operate and maintain various technologies and features to be tested and potentially productionalized. Currently the operations stack is KubeFlow, but with more on their way (Data Robot and KNIME are being considered)!

These initiatives are at the heart of the new Digitalization efforts of DHL ITS AI and Analytics, to boost the Data Scientists of the DPDHL Group. Your efforts will join the other Platforms under the Analytics Solutions team to push DHL further into the data driven era!

What you will do

As part of a DevSecOps product team you will take end-to-end care of existing and new data analytics technologies for our Data Solutions ecosystem, that includes integrating, operating, supporting and engineering challenges to ensure that the stacks work well within our ecosystem.

• DevOps/SRE: integrate, engineer and automate the services across technologies and infrastructures with strong focus on automation, scaling and monitoring running on Docker/K8s/barebone/cloud clusters
• Operate/stability: overlook daily operations, maintenance, monitoring and capacity situation for 24x7 business critical platform
• Support: help, troubleshoot and consult use cases, solve incidents, coordinate changes, share on-call duty

Our Tech

• KubeFlow as MLOps platform running on Rancher platform

• Data Robot and KNIME are being tested and integrated

• Prometheus, Grafana & OpenSearch used for infrastructure & application monitoring

• Jenkins, Ansible, Git, Terraform as automation tools for our GitOps approach

• Microsoft Azure and Google (GCP) for hybrid scenarios

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux as OS layer (virtual & physical machines)

Sister Analytics platforms

• Rancher Kubernetes as shared container infrastructure to run containerized workloads

• Elasticsearch (OpenSearch distribution) with multiple clusters running on Docker on-prem (ongoing migration to K8s), as well as clusters on GCP

• Mapr (HPE) Hadoop cluster as Big Data storage, with MapRFS, MapRStreams

You should have:

• 3+ years of professional IT experience in a similar role

• Hold a Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science or related field

• Prior experience with MLOps tools a plus, but not mandatory

• A good understanding with network, security and infrastructure automation

• Good knowledge of Linux, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

• Practical knowledge on using Ansible, Jenkins/GitHub Actions and Git for end-to-end automation and deployment with DevOps approach

• Working experience with containerization

• Experience with OSS technologies a plus, but not mandatory

• Some knowledge on GCP / Microsoft Azure

• Some knowledge of Hadoop

• Ability to use English in daily communication

• Ready to learn extremely fast in a very agile, high pace environment with high level of autonomy
