Requirements

• Possess a valid Mobile Crane Operator license or Tower Crane Operator license issued by a recognised authority in Malaysia.
• Completed Secondary SPM/'O' Level education or equivalent.
• Proficient in operating mobile cranes and/or tower cranes, adhering to safety regulations and operational guidelines.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Willingness to work on-site at construction projects in Penang.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operational checks on the mobile/tower crane, including inspecting cables, hooks, and safety devices, and report any defects or malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
• Operate the mobile/tower crane under the direction of the site supervisor, adhering to lift plans and safety protocols to move materials and equipment around the construction site.
• Maintain clear communication with ground personnel using hand signals or radio communication to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.
• Perform routine maintenance on the mobile/tower crane, such as lubricating moving parts and checking fluid levels, and document all maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies related to mobile/tower crane operation, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety briefings.
• Assist in the assembly and disassembly of the mobile/tower crane under the guidance of experienced technicians, ensuring all components are properly installed and secured.
• Maintain a logbook of all lifting operations, including the weight of the load, the lifting radius, and any unusual occurrences during the lift.
