Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience
- Proven experience as a System Programmer with specialization in IBM MQ on mainframe (z/OS).
- Strong knowledge of mainframe operating systems, especially z/OS.
- Expertise in IBM MQ architecture, components, and administration.
- Experience with RACF or other mainframe security tools for MQ security management.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., REXX, CLIST).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 production support environment.
- Knowledge of other messaging systems and integration technologies.
- Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning for MQ.
- Understanding of mainframe networking concepts related to MQ channels.
