We are currently looking for a Music Licensing and Copyright Manager/Executive (Malaysia, Singapore & Thailand). Based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

About the role

• Actively pitch and market UMPG catalogue to the Film & TV producers, advertising agencies and gaming community to effectively procure and increase sync revenue.
• Response, negotiate, provide quotes and obtain rights clearance from repertoire owners for synchronization requests for uses of UMPG catalogue in commercials, films, television, live-streaming concerts, new media, documentaries and short films etc.
• Response, negotiate and provide quotes to general licensing applications for uses of UMPG catalogue in prints, covers, adaptations, samples and translations etc.
• Interacting with clients serving their music and licensing needs, including creating a variety of music playlists and samplers to support client productions.
• Generate quarterly reporting to communicate status of sync business including goals/projections, confirmed uses, outstanding payments and general sync highlights.
• Manage all administrative duties related to licensing agreements.
• Research and stay up to date with industry licensing trends, rates, models etc. Update team members as latest information becomes available.
• Performed other job-related duties as assigned.

Desirable Traits:

• Enjoy music, creative mindset, result-driven, team player and good communicator.
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree/Diploma. Business or Music Specialization preferred.
• At least 2-3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with sync experience, music pitching and placement, established relationships and history with music supervisors, production companies and ad agencies etc.
• Solid licensing background with an understanding of music/content licensing and experienced with contracts.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize workloads with a high degree of accuracy.
• Must be a tenacious problem-solver, able to multitask and pay high attention to detail.
• Must be computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office applications.
