Job Description

The Fund Accounting Senior Manager has responsibility to coordinate Risk and Controls framework and agenda for all fund accounting sites in APAC and provide oversight and guidance to the operations in various risk related subjects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Risk and Control agenda including audits, interfacing with internal and external auditors, and identifying process gaps.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
• Perform discovery and due diligence with clients and visits regarding service quality measurement.
• Identify opportunities to implement process improvements and recommend system, service, and process enhancements including leading and evaluating system testing.
• Drive /Participate in Process Deep Dive reviews and follow up with respective Ops units to ensure timely closure of identified issues. In case of any perceived / potential overdue issues, ensure timely escalation. Ensure appropriate Corrective actions are put in place for any observations raised as a part of the review\'s breaches.
• Challenging the business of their understanding of their risk and the status and adequacy of their controls, inclusive of proactive risk management
• Execute and drive the end-to-end governance of identifying and mitigating Issues and Corrective Action Plan with relevant control owners.
• Reviewing and providing assurance that the Operational Controls management practices are in line with the regional risk appetite model for the function which is measured through the Quarterly and Annual Risk Assessment process.
• Consulting and advising on the design of risk management practices within the Business to effectively identify and mitigate operational risks through the recommendations of process enhancements / automation.
• Change Risk \xe2\x80\x93 attends the appropriate forum to provide approvals, operational risk guidance, further support the business, specifically Operational to understand and assess business readiness, process and control design and operating effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of relevant experience
• Chartered Accountant/CFA/MBA
• Experience in fund accounting
• Experience in accounting within financial services, strategic management, resource/expense management, and managing client relationships.
• Experience in managing operational delivery.
• Extensive knowledge of funds services and process
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in related area.

Education:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred.
