Job Description

1. Position Overview

The NetSuite Developer is responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and optimizing NetSuite ERP solutions in alignment with business requirements. This role covers end-to-end SuiteScript development, workflow automation, system integrations, performance enhancements, troubleshooting, and collaboration with functional teams to ensure successful delivery of high-quality ERP solutions.

2. Key Responsibilities

a) NetSuite Development & Customization

Develop, test, and deploy SuiteScript 1.0 / 2.x scripts (Client, User Event, Scheduled, Map/Reduce). Customize NetSuite records, forms, fields, custom objects, workflows, and saved searches. Build custom dashboards, KPIs, portlets, and analytical components. Support system feature enhancements and NetSuite release upgrades.

b) Integration & Technical Solutions

Design and implement integrations between NetSuite and external systems using RESTlet, SOAP, REST API, and middleware connectors. Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as design specifications, data mapping, and API references. Collaborate with internal/external teams to troubleshoot integration failures and API-related issues.

c) System Configuration & Support

Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions for project teams and end users. Maintain and optimize system performance, scripts, and automation tasks. Participate in UAT support, technical testing, and performance validation activities.

d) Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with Functional Consultants to translate business requirements into technical deliverables. Support Project Managers throughout the implementation lifecycle (build, SIT/UAT, deployment). Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and training sessions where necessary.

3. Requirements

i. Education & Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields.

ii. Technical Skills

Proven experience in SuiteScript 1.0 and 2.x development. Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON. Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and integration frameworks. Understanding of NetSuite modules (Financials, SCM, CRM, Projects) is an advantage. Experience working with Git, Postman, and JIRA is preferred.

iii. Experience

1-3 years of experience in NetSuite development (Mid-Level). Fresh graduates with strong programming skills may be considered for junior roles. Experience in ERP consulting or software development environments is an added advantage.

iv. Soft Skills

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Good communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders effectively. Able to meet deadlines and perform well in fast-paced project environments.

4. Preferred Certifications (Added Advantage)

NetSuite SuiteFoundation NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer Certification Any relevant ERP or cloud application certification
