JOB SCOPERole : Network Engineer (Senior Technician)AWS is looking to hire a highly motivated, best-in-class Network Technician to join the Infrastructure Delivery Team, within the Infrastructure Operations organization. The Network Technician will work closely with both internal customers, external vendors, as well as coordinating regional resources, to facilitate smooth project execution, in a very short period of time.An ideal candidate is highly autonomous, very detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal English communication skills, and has significant experience in supporting large scale, enterprise class networks. The Network Technician will work closely with Global AWS Network Engineering & Network Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth rollout of new designs and products. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will possess strong team mindset to help other Network Technicians with their tasks.The candidate will be highly competent in all aspects of installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware, software and fiber connectivity, all combined with a proven project delivery methodology.This position will provide the individual with high levels of autonomous work with minimal supervision to drive the stability and sustainability of AWS next-generation networks and to assist in the delivery of a new AWS region.Network Technicians are expected to work with established best practices to refine operational procedures, develop new tooling and constantly think proactively and innovatively. The desire and ability to work in an ambiguous, collaborative environment is essential for success also to be able to deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes always with an eye on improvement.Responsibilities :

• Complete customer requests via Web-based Ticketing system, troubleshooting using online tools, and reporting project status via multi-user portals
• Participate in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware

JOB REQUIREMEMTS

• BS in EE, Information Systems, Computer Science or Information Assurance, may be coupled with certifications to include CCNA, CCNP or JNCIA or an equivalent combination of higher education and tech related experience
• 5+ years of high-level and/or enterprise experience as a technician or engineer in a highly dynamic environment
• Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge and common networking terms as well as knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
• Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies, with experience in cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
• Strong Project Management knowledge to collaborate with various stake holders and to remove project obstacles
• Strong prioritization and time management ability
• Experience working in a high security environment
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for networking, routing and inter connectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and troubleshooting cabling connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
• Experience in managing and operating multiple data center sites
• Be able to represent the country for the role for global initiatives, work with cross functional teams and deliver expected results in a timely manner
• Be able to proactively identify and propose solution or risk mitigation plan for design SPOF or Availability risks
• Be able to create mission statement and visions for a team, set goals and strategies, and build, develop and manage strong team
• Be able to write, review, question, find mistake, and improve documents such as standard operating procedures, methods of procedure, and emergency operating procedures, root cause analysis, promotion document, technical proposals, vendor contract, Basis of Design, design documents, white papers, etc.
• Be able to travel outside the country, build good relationship of trust with cross functional leaders across all regions
• Be able to work independently, self-start, think logical and out of box, communicate without confrontation, dive deep into issues and provide solution
• Able to lift and/or move equipment weighing about 18kg safely using lifting machines
• Able to work on-call and cover shift in case needed
