Working Duration: 12 months contract with PERSOLKELLY

Working Day/Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm

Salary: Basic up to MYR 9,100/Month + statutory contribution + leave entitlement (Based on qualifications + Experiences)

Job Purpose:
Network Engineer and single point of contact for all voice and network activities - COB related activities project production support and change management activities with regional and Global Network/Voice SMEs. Single point of contact for network Job Background/context:

The role covers ground coordination between country business and regional/global teams in ensuring timely attention to production support and project request matters. To coordinate onsite work with verification with Regional and Global SME.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide assistance and training to Tier1 general field staff on LAN/Voice/Video systems.
2. Design, manage, operate and maintain LAN/Voice/Video services for the Command.
3. Perform upgrades and new technology reviews while maintaining currency with LAN/Voice/Video skills.
4. Coordinate with higher, peer and subordinate elements to troubleshoot, modify or establish LAN/Voice/Video services in support of the mission.
5. Deploy, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment and network to include but not limited to: Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity voicemail, Voice Gateways, Cisco router/switch, Jabber, Telepresence, and Codian MCU devices. Avaya phones, Avaya Media Gateway
6. Provide and manage a secure, high-performance network, for services including VoIP, QoS, CoS, LAN\'s, SBC\'s, traditional TDM and SIP.
7. Create, maintain and update diagrams/documentation of evolving UC environments and operational procedures
8. As the resident expert, must be familiar with Cisco networking protocols and voice infrastructures.
9. Maintain the integrity of software and services.
10. Provide senior level planning, scheduling, testing, and coordination for installation of upgrades.
11. Track service dependencies.
12. Write and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures (SOP)
13. Manage and drive remediation efforts related to information security, remediation may be from incidents, penetration tests, vulnerability scans, internal/external audits and other assessments
14. Identify and communicate mitigation and remediation strategies
15. Perform, manage & coordinate system and application patching and hardening in accordance with established standards and procedures
16. Collaborate with IT Security, Information Technology, Legal, Human Resources and other business units to manage security risks, threats and vulnerabilities
17. Troubleshooting of Cisco and wireless technology, network routing and switching
18. Service improvement and operational task improvement in Wi-Fi technology
19. Plan, design, implement and maintain networked systems, including configurations, supporting / troubleshooting network problems and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators and switches
20. Conduct feasibility studies on strategic and tactical plans, design of digital / analog networks, and evaluation of network services / technology for current and future network development
21. Perform complex technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, systems integration for front-end processors, multiplexes, LAN / WAN communications, network nodes, switches and various transmission systems
22. Independently analyze and provide innovative solutions to network engineering and design projects
23. May serve as technical liaison with vendors
24. Apply advanced understanding of WAN/LAN internet - working design elements including cost versus performance tradeoffs, protocol interoperability, network architecture development and requirements for testing/proof of concept
25. Mentor and instruct junior level engineers on technical expertise needed in collecting and assembling data, preparing reports, monitoring progress and analyzing data
26. Recommend improvements and assist in the development of technical standards support
27. Provide network technical support for complex network related incidents, changes and projects
28. Gather requirements, analyze technical networking issues and the develop options and recommendations
29. Good communication and interpersonal skills
30. Strong analytical skills to analyze security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls
31. Desktop security tools technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems and a wide range of security technologies, such as network security appliances, identity and access management (IAM) systems, anti-malware solutions, automated policy compliance tools, and
32. In-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles, as a means of relating business needs to security controls
33. Knowledge of network performance, network administration and troubleshooting techniques
34. Knowledge of network related hardware and software (including routers, switches, TCP/IP, Ethernet, VPNs, Firewalls, etc.)
35. Understanding of security issues and implications to network solutions
