The What:
As a Neuroscience and Rare Condition Partner (RCP) you will work closely with patients and their community and ecosystem, gaining an understanding of their wants and needs, deeper than ever before, in order to connect Roche\xe2\x80\x99s capabilities to co-create meaningful solutions. As the steward of the product lifecycle you are customer-facing, the first-point of coordination, and the connector with Roche\'s internal capabilities. It is ultimately your drive to help improve patient\xe2\x80\x99s lives that will lead you to co-create fit-for purpose solutions that take us to our North Star. Being successful in this role will deliver better outcomes for patients, better community and scientific value resulting in access to our innovative therapies, the latter being the consequence of the first two.
As an Neuroscience and Rare Condition Partner your key accountabilities are:
Strategic partner : Integrates insights and data from the healthcare ecosystem, and connects them with Roche strategic imperatives to bring innovation to our patients, by being an active partner in the definition and implementation of strategic roadmaps particularly at the Affiliate level.
Medical/Scientific Expert : Maintains and provides internally and externally adequate scientific and clinical expertise in assigned DA and the patient journey, including pipeline products, diagnostics and digital healthcare solutions as applicable.
Evidence Generation: As a member of the Medical Affairs Network for Evidence Generation (MANEGe), has a key role in the process of evidence generation (EG)
Licence to Operate : Ensures the highest ethical, scientific and quality standards, patients\xe2\x80\x99 safety and safeguarding Roche\xe2\x80\x99s reputation.
Working in Networks : Lead the connection and leveraging of Roche resources from across the Global Organization to fully harness our potential to improve patient outcomes.
Pre Launch excellence: Lead strategic preparations for pipeline products or new indications in early planning phase including medical and market access preparations.
Stewarding the product through its lifecycle, addressing the need to support appropriate use of Roche\xe2\x80\x99s approved medicines while delivering on the other accountabilities. Sharing the merits of Roche products with HCPs in a truthful and balanced manner.
Building a solid foundation and framework of collaboration with external and internal stakeholders that results in early, broad and sustainable access to our innovative therapies.
The How:
Acting as the first point of coordination within Roche, you will share the community and ecosystem needs internally, prioritise and secure resources as needed and find solutions that deliver outcomes, faster.
You will have local reporting lines to Medical and Innovation Chapter Lead but will work synergistically with above-country self organising teams and local market access team. This POD will act as a peer network to provide you with thought partnership, coaching on the setting, accountability to and support in the delivery of 90 days goals. With the mentorship of your POD you will be a valued member of Roche Malaysia affiliate , collaborating internally and externally to deliver on your accountabilities.

Technical skills & experience:
Has strong rare disease and neuroscience specific interest, specifically in neuroimmunology and neurodegenerative diseases. (Multiple Sclerosis, Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorders, Spinal Muscular Atrophy and other pipeline products)
Has strong clinical practice understanding
Experience establishing partnerships with external organisations (including patient advocacy groups) and therapeutic area experts
An understanding of market access processes
Good understanding of the healthcare system environment, including health care policy, the reimbursement environment and health technology assessment environment.
Robust understanding of pharmaceutical drug development, medical affairs strategies and tactics including clinical research and main industry medical compliance processes.
Dedicated DA and product, competition knowledge. Understanding of fast paced, highly competitive market dynamics
Strong data comprehension, critical appraisal, synthesis interpretation and delivery of data/information skills
Evidence generation and GxP knowledge.
Scientific and Publication management.
Understand Roche vision and strategy, and embed it in every day work.
Good understanding and interest of state of the art and trends of digital health.
Strategic planning skills.
Strong communications skills.
Language: Fluent in oral and written English
Has cross-functional leadership experience
MBA / Relevant Business or Market Access (preferred)
MD, PharmD or relevant PhD for the Therapeutic Domain (desirable)
