Chosen candidate will participate and lead Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) efforts for Manufacturing Engineering in the areas of new product introduction, manufacturing operations, and supply chain, resulting in higher quality, better delivery, and lower costs. Specifically, this role will:

  • Lead NPI processes (Gate process, Item and BOM set up, GSA compliance etc.), to safeguard downstream processes are not impacted
  • Engage in design to ensure that each new generation of products is leaner than its predecessors - maximizing product flexibility for the customer while streamlining order fulfillment
  • Provide knowledge leadership regarding the latest industry advancements and trends and well as emerging technology enablers (ERP, MES)
  • Apply knowledge to develop solutions and partner with representatives from various organizations to integrate ideas, make decisions, and drive improvement.
  • Apply manufacturing engineering concepts and statistical modeling to reduce costs and maximize return on investment
  • Work with the factory floor identifying improvements and facilitating 5S waste walk assessments to categorize root cause. Self-driven improvements and documentation for complex processes on the production line.
  • Drive sale-to-ship process of NPI projects. Monitoring and control of inbound and outbound logistics, purchase orders, generation of software license and material shortages for NPI builds in collaboration with the manufacturing team.
  • Provide hands-on oversight to the execution of key NPI milestones while resolving issues encountered throughout the manufacturing processes
  • Draw upon the latest supply chain methodologies to achieve best in class results for new products
  • Make decisions that will minimize future inventories during the design phase
  • Help to deliver the shortest lead times in the industry by means of postponement techniques and shorter cycle times
Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate will need a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and 7 to 10 years of Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience) in a fast-paced operations environment. In addition, we are looking for the following skills:
  • Experience with New Product Introduction
  • Experience in leading and maintaining Quality Control Efforts
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other quality methodology preferred
  • Oracle ERP and Agile PLM experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to successfully lead teams and projects to achieve goals and objectives are a must
