Job Description

Job Purpose:

To provide attentive, safe, and nurturing care for infants aged 3 months to 18 months, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met in accordance with Wonder Minds Preschool's standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:1. Infant Care & Daily Routine

Provide attentive and loving care for infants, including feeding, bathing, diapering, and ensuring overall hygiene. Monitor infants' sleeping schedules and maintain a calm, safe, and hygienic environment. Prepare and sterilize feeding bottles, equipment, and utensils as per hygiene and health standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the nursery area at all times.

2. Health & Safety

Monitor and record infants' health conditions, such as temperature, feeding amounts, and bowel movements daily. Administer first aid when necessary and report any illness, injury, or abnormal signs immediately to the Principal. Ensure all health and safety guidelines, including proper sanitization and safe handling of infants, are strictly followed. Support infection control measures and assist in maintaining compliance with licensing and health regulations.

3. Developmental Support

Observe and document each infant's growth and developmental milestones. Engage infants in age-appropriate sensory and motor skill activities. Foster a nurturing and responsive environment that supports infants' emotional and social development.

4. Communication & Documentation

Maintain accurate daily reports for each child (feeding, sleep, diaper changes, and general behavior). Communicate regularly with parents on their child's progress, health updates, and milestones in a professional manner. Maintain confidentiality of all child and family information at all times.

5. Teamwork & Professionalism

Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to ensure smooth operations of the infant care unit. Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions as required. Uphold Wonder Minds Preschool's philosophy, values, and standards of care at all times.

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in Nursing or Early Childhood Care & Education (Infant/Toddler). Valid nursing qualification and registration with the Malaysian Nursing Board is an advantage. At least 1-2 years of experience in infant or childcare settings preferred. Passionate, patient, and caring with strong attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills.
