Coordinate daily operations to ensure effective workflow, adequate staffing, and safe patient care.

Participate in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
Clinical Oversight
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based nursing care.
Support clinical decision-making and intervene in complex or emergent situations.
Maintain competency in clinical skills relevant to the unit.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Administrative & Operational Management
Develop and manage staffing schedules, ensuring appropriate skill mix and coverage.
Monitor department budgets, resource utilization, and supply management.
Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
Lead quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and audits.
Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and track quality metrics.
Promote infection control and safety practices.
Communication & Collaboration
Act as a liaison between staff, leadership, and other departments.
Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate updates on policies, procedures, and organizational goals.
Represent the unit in cross-departmental committees and leadership meetings.
QualificationsEducation
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience.
Previous leadership or charge nurse experience strongly preferred.
Licensure & Certifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
BLS, ACLS, LGM & APC or other specialty-specific certifications as required.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make sound decisions under pressure.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications.
Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS).
