Job Description


Job Responsibility Research and Development Strategy: Develop and implement the overall research and development strategy for the F&B company, aligning IT with the organization\'s goals and objectives. Product Development: Lead the of new food and beverage products from concept to commercialization. This includes conducting market research, identifying consumer trends, creating product prototypes, and testing formulations. Recipe Optimization: Work on improving existing recipes and formulations to enhance product quality, taste, cost-effectiveness, and nutritional content. Innovation and Creativity: Stay updated with industry trends, new ingredients, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and develop unique and marketable products. Quality Control: Establish quality control standards and procedures to ensure consistency and safety in product development and manufacturing processes. Conduct regular product testing and analysis to meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Sales to integrate product development plans with overall business strategies and ensure seamless product launch and availability. Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, set timelines and deadlines, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely delivery of new product launches improvements. Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to a team of R&D professionals, including supervising, mentoring, and developing staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Stakeholder Management: Engage with suppliers, vendors, external partners, and internal stakeholders to establish strategic relationships, source ingredients, and ensure strong collaborations for product development and innovation. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international food safety and labeling regulations, monitor industry standards, and drive continuous improvement in product quality and safety. Cost Optimization: Collaborate with the finance department to manage R&D budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize product development processes and resources. Job Requirements Education: A bachelor\'s degree in food science, Food Technology, Culinary Arts, or a related field is typically required. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge and understanding of food science, food chemistry, food processing, and food safety principles are essential. Familiar with sensory evaluation, nutritional analysis, formulation development, and food flavoring is also valuable. Research and Development Experience: Several years of experience in a research and development role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a or leadership capacity. Hands-on experience in product development, recipe optimization, and innovation is crucial. Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the F&B industry, including market trends, consumer preferences, and emerging technologies is important. Familiarity with local and international food regulations, labeling requirements, and industry best practices is also desirable. Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team, manage projects, and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are essential in managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Creativity and Innovation: The ability to think creatively and drive product innovation is crucial. Candidates should have a track record of successfully developing and launching new products or improving existing ones. Quality Control and Food Safety: A solid understanding of quality control and food safety principles is necessary to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and deliver high-quality products. Analytical and Research Skills: Proficient in data analysis, market research, and product testing methodologies. The ability to interpret results, draw insights, and make informed decisions based on findings is important. Business Acumen: Demonstrated understanding of business objectives, market dynamics, and financial considerations related to product development and commercialization.
