Kelayakan

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Plantation Science, Horticulture, or related field. Certificate in "Pengurusan & Penyelenggaraan Nurseri Sawit" or similar would be an advantage.
• At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in oil palm seedling nursery management, including knowledge of prenursery & main nursery operations.
• Leadership, team supervision, training, good communication, budgeting & resource management.
• Personal Attributes: Result oriented, detail-oriented, able to work under outdoor/rural conditions, resilient.
• Technical Skills

• Soil science, fertilizer and potting media knowledge
• Pest, disease and weed control in oil palm seedlings
• Irrigation systems and nursery infrastructure upkeep

Tanggungjawab
Nursery Operations Management

• Oversee all stages of seedling production: seed receipt, germination, pre-nursery, main nursery, transplanting.
• Ensure optimal growth and survival of seedlings through proper soil, fertilizer, potting media, irrigation, shading etc.

Quality Control

• Monitor seedling health: pest, disease, weed control.
• Maintain standards for uniformity, size, vigor. Cull substandard seedlings.
• Ensure compliance with nursery practices / certification (e.g. Code of Good Nursery Practice for Oil Palm, CoPN) if applicable.

Staff & Team Management

• Lead, train, and supervise nursery workers and assistants.
• Plan work schedules, assign tasks, evaluate performance.

Resource & Inventory Management

• Manage supply of seeds, bags, fertilizers, potting media, chemicals, tools, etc.
• Maintain equipment, irrigation systems, shading/netting, nursery infrastructure.

Compliance & Reporting

• Monitor environmental, safety, health standards.
• Ensure statutory/regulatory compliance (e.g. MSPO, MPOB, local environmental legislation).
• Prepare reports on seedling production, survival rate, inventory, budget vs actual.

Planning & Strategy

• Forecast seedling requirement for replanting or expansion programs.
• Implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce cost, improve quality.
• Manage schedule of nursery operations according to seasonal/weather conditions.
