The Nursing Lecturer is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, academic guidance, and clinical supervision to nursing students. The role involves curriculum development, assessment, research, and maintaining professional nursing standards within the academic environment.
1. TEACHING
Prepare Lesson plan
Preparing Lecture notes
Giving lecture and lecture demonstrations in the classroom/ stimulated ward
Giving tutorial if necessary
Giving revision classes wherever assigned to
2. ASSESSMENT
Preparing questions for coursework for midterm exam
Conducting the midterm exam for each semester
Preparing final questions for final examinations for each semester
Preparing model answers for all tests and examination
Preparing questions for OSCE examination for each semester
Invigilating the final examinations and OSCE
Being an examiner for OSCE
Correcting students answer scripts for all tests and examinations
3. MONITORING STUDENTS
Monitor students' attendances
Filling the weekly class attendance form
Writing students summative academic reports
Monitoring students' academic performance
Monitoring student's absenteeism in the classroom and clinical placements
Mentoring students and counseling students
Looking after students' affairs as coordinator
Contacting students' parents whenever needs arise
Checking students log books every semester after each clinical posting
Liaising with other lecturers and clinical instructor regarding students' performance in the classroom and clinical areas
Updating students' profile and report
Keeping students record and report, eg, MC, letters of deferment and barred for examination
4. CURICULUM DEVELOPMENT
Involving in MQA for the preparation of lesson plan and documentation
Involving in the using and recording of MQA documented forms
Preparing the table of specifications for subject code
Involving in the reviewing of curriculum from time to time
Editing the lesson notes from time to time
5. SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Attending seminar, workshop and conferences
Presenting training after attending any workshop, seminar and conference
Participating in college research committee presentation
QUALIFICATIONS
Possess Bachelor in Nursing recognize by the Malaysia Nursing Board (MNB)/ Malaysia Midwifery Board (MMB) Or; Possess Bachelor in Healthcare related certificate as recognized by the MNB/MMB with Diploma in Nursing (exceptional before December 2017)
Possess Post Basic qualification/Advanced Diploma /Master in Nursing (specialty) or specialised-related nursing programme under Ministry of Health (MOH) or institution that has registered with the Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) and recognised by MNB/MMB is eligible to teach in the specialized nursing course
Possess a minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.

Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
