Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive

OHS Coordinator

to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing occupational health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and promoting a culture of safety and well-being throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:



Ensure compliance with OSHA 1994, Factories and Machinery Act, and other relevant statutory regulations. Maintain and update OHS documentation, reports, and records (e.g., HIRARC, CHRA, SDS). Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and follow-up actions to ensure hazard control. Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures. Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and OHS-related training for employees and contractors. Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including emergency drills and ERT management. Support health surveillance programs and ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with health standards. Assist in implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System. Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and well-being.

Requirements:



Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or related field. Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH is an added advantage. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in OHS coordination, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety laws and regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Good interpersonal skills, good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees in the organization. Computer literate, proficient with Microsoft Office, other relevant software and applications.

Self-starter attitude, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and also as a team player where frequent collaboration across functional teams is necessary. Good time management skills include reliability, attention to details, problem solving and positive thinking.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
