As part of the health team, you will be responsible for delivering the health strategy to your key stakeholders for the Shell Malaysia Upstream businesses and Contractors, based in Miri, Sarawak. You work in collaboration with different businesses to ensure compliance with local legislation as well as being customer centric. You will provide substantial occupational health nursing input and professional leadership through leveraging the Shell Health core competencies of health expertise, science, collaboration, and business intimacy. WHAT\'S THE ROLE?
  • To work through Shell Health protocols and processes (e.g., Fitness / Return To Work, and Medical Surveillance) to deliver agreed KPIs without the need or minimal supervision, and can adapt the protocols to local or individual need.
  • To advise key internal stakeholders (employees and lines of business) on occupational health topics and may be the local focal point for specific areas e.g., ergonomics, travel health, etc.
  • To maintain and manage all records relating to occupational health nursing issues.
  • To provide health guidance to eligible employees with queries on health matters.
  • To collate and escalate issues from the frontline horizontally to asset specialists and to collaborate with central teams to deliver standardized optimized solutions.
  • To coach, supervise and support colleagues, e.g. Paramedics
  • To promote and implement Shell Health activities and programmed to your population (working with key internal stakeholder departments, social/network groups, and committees), to improve their physical, mental and social health through care so that they can be at their best.
  • To lead, coordinate and collaborate with other Shell Health teams within the country, implementing the physical, mental, and social health plans, activities and programs to the relevant sites and populations.
  • To maintain the plant field instrumentation to achieve a high standard reliability, integrity and availability and recommend solutions to maximize the process on stream time by elimination of bad actors.
  • To ensure IPF tests are carried out safely and without incident in line with the procedures and work instructions, accurately and fully recording the results of the tests and continuously advising supervisors of opportunities for improvements.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU?
  • Recognized Nursing Degree/Diploma or Medical Assistance Degree/Diploma registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board or Malaysian Medical Assistance Board
  • Post Graduate qualifications will be an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduation working experience. Experience in occupational Health is an advantage
  • Occupational Health Nurse qualification with NIOSH or equivalent is an advantage
  • Candidate who are Sarawakian or holding Sarawak PR status will have an advantage
  • West Malaysian candidates with the strong qualifications and skillsets will be considered
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry is an advantage
  • Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa
  • Analytical skills \xe2\x80\x93 dealing with data compilation, analysis and implementing evaluations; identifying and reporting risk issues
  • Good understanding and experience of managing partner and stakeholder relationships
  • Good communications skills including in presenting and promoting to wider audience and stakeholders
  • Good computer skills especially in MS Office Applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
