Job Description

Job Summary



A Shipping Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the movement of goods, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of shipments. This involves tasks such as preparing shipping documents, negotiating with carriers, tracking shipments, and managing customs procedures. They play a crucial role in logistics and supply chain management.



Export activities ;



Prepare and verify

Commercial Invoice & Packing List (CIPL)

, Shipping Instructions (SI), Bill of lading (BL) for all export shipments. Coordinate shipment booking with forwarders based on customer's shipping schedule. Ensure export documentation complies with

LMW

requirements and customs regulations. Familiar with COO applications. Liaise with production and warehouse teams to ensure readiness of goods for export. Monitor export shipment movements until goods are received by end customer.

Import Operations:



Request and compare freight quotations from forwarders based on the correct

Incoterms

provided by the procurement, purchasing team or operation team. Verify import documents from shipper including commercial invoices, delivery order & packing lists, and

K1 Customs Declaration

. Make a booking import shipment LCL/FCL/air freight/express service. Coordinate with customs brokers and forwarders to ensure timely clearance of goods. Ensure all raw materials imported under LMW are properly declared and tracked in the LMW records.

General Duties ;



Maintain a complete filing system (hardcopy & softcopy) for all shipping documents. Update shipment trackers and provide shipment status to relevant departments. Identify and resolve any shipping-related issues, including delays payment to forwarder, document discrepancies, or non-compliance. Getting shipping cost and propose cost to requestor. Update cost in KPI shipping monthly report.

Job Requirements



Experience handling CIPL, export & import documents, and import export declarations. Able to analyze different

Incoterms

(example : EXW, FOB, DDP) and request/import freight quotations accordingly. Strong skills in preparing and checking shipping documents to ensure

zero errors

that could cause delays or penalties. Familiar with systems like

direct customers.

Ability to handle urgent or problematic shipments calmly, with a strong sense of
