Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Offset Printing Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating offset printing machines (e.g., Heidelberg, Mitsubishi, Ryobi) and possess strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality output. This role requires working closely with production supervisors, graphic designers, and finishing departments to meet client expectations and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain offset printing machines to produce printed materials according to job specifications. Set up printing press, including loading paper, adjusting ink and water balance, and aligning plates. Conduct test prints and make necessary adjustments to ensure color consistency and print quality. Monitor print runs to detect and correct problems (e.g., misfeeds, smudging, color registration). Perform daily cleaning and minor maintenance of printing machines. Record production data, including material usage, output quantity, and machine performance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company quality standards. Coordinate with pre-press and finishing departments for smooth job flow. Minimize material wastage and ensure efficient job turnaround. Follow production schedules and meet tight deadlines during peak seasons.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of experience in offset printing operations (A4-A1 size machines). Technical knowledge of printing processes, inks, papers, and machine setup. Ability to troubleshoot common printing issues. Physically fit to work in a fast-paced production environment. Willing to work shifts (night shift) and overtime (including weekends and public holidays) when required. Basic understanding of color separation and registration. Good teamwork and communication skills. Familiar with Malaysian printing industry standards and practices is an added advantage.
