As an Opcenter Developer at Molex, you will play a crucial role in innovating and developing the company's Opcenter software solutions. You will collaborate closely with a team of programmers to design, code, and implement software programs that enhance the daily experience of Molex employees. Your goal is to ensure seamless integration and smooth operation of Opcenter applications, from detailed coding to innovative software design.

You will be part of a dynamic IT group that partners with various IT departments across Molex to deliver software solutions that support business operations. This collaborative team environment focuses on continuous improvement and leveraging technology to meet the evolving needs of internal stakeholders.
What You Will Do
Collaborate with your IT group and other IT departments to implement new applications and system changes.
Analyze current system capabilities and recommend enhancements to improve software performance, maintainability, and user experience.
Develop detailed technical specifications and program applications using relevant programming languages; communicate feasibility and propose improvements to management and system analysts.
Conduct comprehensive functionality testing on new and updated applications to ensure desired outcomes, modifying programs as needed to optimize performance and effectiveness.
Report progress, challenges, and direction of work assignments to management; cooperate with IT personnel to resolve issues and complete development tasks.
Document program logic, development processes, coding scripts, and corrections; assist in creating and maintaining user manuals.
Monitor and support program performance post-implementation, ensuring ongoing reliability and efficiency.
Adhere to established IT development methodologies and standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Assist in planning, executing, and documenting solution acceptance testing.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by management to support IT and business goals.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience developing with Siemens Camstar/Opcenter technologies (Portal, Designer, CIO, MIO).
At least 2 years of experience with development languages such as .NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML/JSP, HTML5, XML, CSS, XSL, and SQL (including stored procedures and functions).
Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with integration methodologies involving systems like SAP, Opcenter APS (Preactor), equipment controls, and metrology systems.
Solid technical understanding of manufacturing technologies such as Controls/PLC, OPC, SCADA, historian systems, and Microsoft SQL Server.
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)
Proficiency in advanced SQL scripting, including stored procedures, functions, tables, and views.
Knowledge of Product Development Quality Assurance (PDQ) methodologies.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience with tools like Jira and GitLab.
Experience supporting manufacturing and IT solutions in a related environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and systematically complete assignments.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with co-workers and external contacts, maintaining a positive approach to problem-solving.
Familiarity with the Mobility Framework Angular is a plus
Familiarity with Playwright auto test tool is a plus
Familiarity with the Telegraph, Prometheus and Graphana is a plus
