This is a remote position.
Installation, support and maintenance of OpenVMS on Alpha and Itanium servers
-Installation and testing of new OpenVMS O/S releases
-Upgrade of production, prelive and development servers in Europe, Singapore and foreign locations.
-Support and maintenance of different versions of the O/S in Europe, Singapore and the foreign locations
-Testing and implementation of new features such as Minimerge, Minicopy, XFC, SSH
Installation, support and maintenance of layered software products
-Upgrade of production, prelive and development servers in Europe, Singapore and the foreign locations
-Maintenance and support of the products in Europe, Singapore and the foreign locations including
-Attunity Connect
-Connect:Direct
-MQ Series
-RVS
-Installation, configuration and maintenance of SAMBA for file serving via OpenVMS
-Installation, configuration and maintenance of Consoleworks and SPOP
-Installation, configuration and maintenance of WASD
Disaster Recovery planning and testing
-Planning of disaster recovery tests in Europe, Singapore and foreign locations
-Participate in the annual DR tests in Europe, Singapore and foreign locations (remote access).
Data Backup
-Installation, configuration and maintenance netbackup client
-Troubleshooting backup problems in coordination with Backup Team
-Troubleshooting of problems related to the interfacing of OpenVMS backup
Software patches
-Installation of necessary patches in Europe, Singapore and the foreign locations
-Management of patch update and patch releases
System management of hp Alpha and Itanium servers
-System management of all Alpha and Itanium servers under OpenVMS in Europe, Singapore & Foreign Locations
-Blade enclosures C3000 and C7000 management
-Capacity planning
-Performance analysis and evaluation
-Implementation of measures to improve performance
System technical support of the applications
-Provide system technical support of applications in Europe, Singapore and the foreign locations.
Network support for DECnet (Phase IV and V) and TCP/IP
-Installation, maintenance and support of the installed network products - DECnet and TCP/IP under OpenVMS
-Maintenance of the DECnet and IP databases
-Standardization of DECnet network objects
-Monitoring of the SAN and cluster communications (EVA, EMC, HDS, Netapp)
-Analysis, coordination and resolution of network problems in Europe, Singapore and the foreign locations related to the OpenVMS
Configuration and maintenance of interfaces
-Installation, configuration and testing of RVS, WebsphereMQ and Connect:Direct, Attunity Connect interfaces Problem analysis and resolution of interface problems
System security
-Conform to IT security guidelines for OpenVMS
Analysis, support and follow-up of problem situations
-Prompt analysis of current problems
-Analysis and resolution of complex issues
-Follow-up of problems spanning over several platforms and networks
-Documentation of complex and significant problems for the specialist and central service departments or vendors
-Creation of production reports, when necessary
-Recording the steps to problem resolution in the current documentation
-Development of methods to resolve a problem
-Preparation of an action plan to avoid a recurring problem situation
-Coordination of further analyses through externals, progress control and verification of the recommended solution
Implementation of Commerzbank standards for OpenVMS
-Implementation of the OpenVMS standards in Europe, Singapore and the foreign locations.
Instruction and training of Operating
-Creation of relevant documentation for Operating
-Training of the operators when changes in infrastructure, server configuration or software configurations occur
-Training of the operators when procedures change
Problem, Incident, Request, and Change management (via HP Service Manager)
-Processing of problem/incident records assigned to the team
-Creation of Problem, Request, and Incident Records
-Processing of Change and Request Records
-Creation of Change and Request Records related to system software changes, hardware installations,
reconfigurations and planned maintenance work
Documentation
-Maintenance of the Site Management Guides
-Creation and Maintenance of task checklist
Escalation and Vendor's management
-Analyse problem/issue decisively and raise escalation for vendor's supports promptly
-Manage and follow up closely on vendor's support & its Service-Level-Agreement (SLA
Requirements
-Tertiary degree and/or professional qualifications/experiences in related IT disciplines. . Relevant industry experience and/or professional qualification
