Overview As part of the Celestica Global Automation team, you will be together with small Mechanical team that manufactures custom automation solutions for Celestica's global requirements, including stand-alone cells and large robotic assembly lines. As a Team Leader, you bring experience in the manufacturing of Mechanical Sub & Final assembly, ensuring that the automated equipment is built under strict safety regulation and follows Celestica Global standards. You should demonstrate dexterity, technical expertise, attention to details, time management and teamwork to build world-class equipment. In this role, you will report to the Production Manager. Technical . Perform mechanical activities during the sub & final assembly. . Read and analyzed engineering schematics to complete assemblies. . Follow design specifications and assembly procedures/guidelines. . Proactively assisted teammates as needed. . Must be capable to feedback Mechanical design improvement from sketches or verbal concepts to the Mechanical design teams. . Work with supervisor and supply chain team to ensure that the bills of materials is available to support the sub and final assembly activities. . Responsible for communicating progress on tasks to the supervisor. . Responsible to complete assembly as per of the committed schedule. . Liaise with Designer, fabricators, machinists, toolmakers and electrical assembly teams in the completion of assemblies and resolving problems. . Must have thorough knowledge of Mechanical assemblies . An understanding of the use of pneumatics. . Make sure safety guidelines are respected all the time. Project Execution . Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills . Assist in improving Celestica Global Automation Procedure and tools. . Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and procedures . Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in a group meeting. . Complete other duties and projects as assigned . Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and or travel as required in varying timelines . Ensure scheduled milestones are met. Experience . 3 years in Mechanical Sub & Final assembly of complex automated lines. . Knowledge of 2D & 3D ( AutoCAD & Solidwork) . Previous experience with articulate and gantry robot.
