Operations Analyst

Reports to:

Operations Manager

Role summary:

An analytical and driven individual contributor role responsible for diagnosing and analyzing the day-to-day activities and processes within the Production, Logistics, and Quality Assurance departments. This role is central to identifying bottlenecks, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for transformation. The Operations Analyst will leverage AI and automation tools to redesign processes, driving significant improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across the value chain.

Key responsibilities:

1) Understand and Improve Operations

Map out the step-by-step processes (SOPs) in Production, Logistics, and QA. Find and analyze bottlenecks, waste, and errors in current workflows. Design and recommend simpler, more efficient processes.

2) Drive Transformation with AI

Identify opportunities to use AI and automation (like AI agents or RPA) to eliminate manual tasks. Pilot and implement new AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and quality. Track the results of new processes and tools to ensure they deliver promised savings and performance gains.

3) Reporting and Collaboration

Create reports and dashboards to track how the operations are running. Manage operational improvement projects from start to finish. Work closely with department managers to train teams on new processes and tools.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics etc. 2+ years experience in an analytical role, management consulting, or operational role in a manufacturing environment. (Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply) Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and simple AI tools is a must. Experience in BI tools, SQL, Python etc. is highly valued. Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or food industry is an added advantage. Highly logical & analytical, great communicator, and capable of running projects independently. Languages: English, Malay, proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
