ASCARO is a leading Swedish padel tennis brand now expanding globally, with its first international location launching in Kuala Lumpur, on the rooftop of 1Utama mall. Padel is the fastest growing sport in the world, and ASCARO offers a unique premium experience, combining state-of-the-art padel tennis courts, outdoor gym, and F&B lounge on a spacious 20k square foot rooftop of one of the largest malls in the world. ASCARO also has its own clothing brand, elevating the style and culture of the sport.

About the role
We are looking for an operations and events executive. This is a key role, which will work closely with the Managing Director, assisting with all aspects of managing the operations of the space as well as selling, organizing, and running events.


  • Assist in creating and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Oversee daily operations, including greeting guests, helping them navigate the space, and ensuring they have a smooth enjoyable end-to-end experience
  • Oversee cleaners and maintenance staff, ensuring the facility is always in top condition
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors, including addressing customer concerns promptly, professionally, and effectively
  • Support Managing Director in development and implementation of sales and retention strategies to acquire and retain customers
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and other applicable industry standards
  • Conduct company-specific research to personalize outreach/sales approach for events, reach out to companies with curated offerings, and effectively lead sales meetings/presentations
  • Personalize events to customer needs and constantly aim to improve close rate
  • Meticulously organize and oversee events to ensure best-in-class experience

Job requirements & qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in an operational role within a physical space, with event organizing and event management experience a plus
  • At least 1 year of sales or business development experience
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Upbeat positive attitude and demeanour, outgoing personality
  • Curious fast learner that can get up to speed and memorize all key details pertaining to the padel sport and industry, our facility, etc. and eagerly share them with visitors
  • Great attention to detail and passion for perfection
  • Experience and/or interest in racket sports
