Job Description

OBJECTIVES:

As the Operations & Buying Head, you will lead and manage store operations and buying activities across all departments. This role requires a passion for products, strong attention to detail, and logical reasoning paired with high ethical standards. You will play a key role in achieving business KPIs and ensuring operational compliance and buying integrity--with a sense of urgency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure optimal stock levels and healthy stock turn days in every department Oversee inventory control, receiving, and stock management activities Review trading terms agreements at agreed intervals Plan and organize SKU listings and promotions on a scheduled basis Assign staff to specific duties and roles within the store Maintain in-store planogram accuracy and proper display of promotional items Supervise concessionaire standards and ensure compliance Manage cycle counts and stock take exercises; continuously work to reduce shrinkage Ensure adherence to cleaning and equipment maintenance schedules Uphold integrity and transparency in all operations and buying activities Maintain operational and buying compliance through effective team leadership and cross-departmental coordination Identify areas for improvement and implement action plans

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 10 years of retail experience, preferably in supermarkets or hypermarkets Solid experience in managing fresh and/or dry goods departments Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and lead a team Self-starter with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills Good physical and mental fitness; able to work long hours Must be passionate about food and committed to delivering excellent customer service

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM16,000.00 per month
