Operations Controller

Do you want to drive the implementation of standard policies and support the Operations business lead with reliable financial planning and reporting? Join us and support the Hempel factories with managing financial aspects of Operations and Costing.

Your daily tasks and responsibilities:

Ownership of standard cost process and results

OPEX/CAPEX controlling and reporting

Inventory management

Ensure that Work In Progress is reflected correctly

Manufacturing and logistic KPIs (Cost per Liter, capacity, utilization)

Explaining Operations performance (PPVs, COGS variances and other variances)

Produce and ensure reliable financial reporting and drive focus on decision support for the plant and DC operations and follow up on performance.

Plant and DC controlling, responsible for the delivery of the financial results of plants and DCs (P&L and balance sheet), taking ownership of financial statements and the assurance process for each period end.

Manage the period end process for plants and DCs, responsible for ensuring the accurately and timely closing of the books.

Provide Global and Technology & Operations management with a view of respective cost line items and supporting operational standard and product cost from a plant perspective.

Run planning and forecasting process for the respective plant/DC and overlay commentary and finalise \xe2\x80\x9cstandard\xe2\x80\x9d reporting for the plants and DCs and provide input to Senior FBP.

Participate in annual audits for factories and DCs.

You will collaborate close with Operations Area management team (factory managers, logistic head) and with Global Costing Excellence & Cost Deployment team, Global Accounting and GBS.

What are we looking for:

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s (undergraduate) degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent job experience

Strong willingness to engage multiple stakeholders

Learn and take initiative in an environment of ambiguity

Good Excel skills

Fluent in English \xe2\x80\x93 verbal as well as writing

Your manager is Senior Finance Business Partner and located in Singapore, and the other colleague in the team is located in India. Your location would be at the factory site in Kluang, Malaysia.
