Job Description

The OSH Coordinator is responsible for assisting the organization in implementing and maintaining workplace safety and health practices in compliance with the Occupational Safety & Health Act and related regulations. The role involves conducting hazard identification and risk assessments, monitoring corrective actions, and ensuring safe work practices are followed. The coordinator supports the planning and delivery of safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs to cultivate a positive safety culture among employees. In addition, the position covers reporting and investigating accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, as well as recommending preventive measures. The OSH Coordinator also helps in emergency preparedness activities such as fire drills, response plans, and the upkeep of emergency equipment. Proper documentation and record keeping of inspections, training, and incidents are essential, along with preparing safety reports for management review. Acting as a liaison between management, staff, and authorities such as DOSH or NIOSH, the OSH Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring compliance, raising safety standards, and supporting the overall occupational health and safety management system.

Pay: RM500.00 - RM1,500.00 per month
