OtC Process Owner
The position supports the governance of end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OtC) processes including building, standardizing, optimizing, and maintaining GBS processes to the global standards. The position reports to the Manager Global Process Owner OtC supporting him/her in developing and maintaining process policies, performance management, and selecting technology solutions to global standards. The position works closely with key functional executives across the Finance, Treasury, FP&A, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Information Technology (IT) organizations as well as GBS Process Managers, Service Management, and Transformation Team. The OtC PO will support the GPO in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a long-range technology roadmap for the global enterprise processes. This position supports the Demand Management process, working in close cooperation with the Service Management team and Affiliates, providing process advisory and approval for the end-to-end process design changes. Process Owner holds accountability for the idea and proof of concept stage of the GBS Innovation Funnel, supporting innovation culture development within the GBS organization.
Primary Responsibilities


  • Set and manage the enterprise process agenda
  • Lead and promote compliance with global processes and solution standards
  • Review and approve end-to-end business requirements and submit changes to global solutions to the GPO Processes for review and approval
  • Follow the enterprise process governance framework and partner with the GPO team to implement the future state policies, processes, solutions, and work locations
  • Work with the GPO to implement the global vision and strategy for end-to-end enterprise processes

Process Alignment and Standardization
  • Ensure (OtC process-relevant) alignment with key strategic projects and GBS Transformation Roadmap
  • Act in a consulting support role for the OtC Process Stream on strategic projects
  • Lead definition, analysis, and design of end-to-end process improvements
  • Ensure realization of OtC business requirements in conjunction with related IT systems
  • Support GPO in representing business interests in IT systems functional configurations
  • Support GPO in managing the IT systems during and post-deployment continuous improvement

Initiate, Support/Lead Process Standardization and Improvement Projects
  • Lead and/or support standardization, optimization, and harmonization projects under the leadership of the GPO
  • Have an end-to-end process focus that goes beyond OTC and optimizes processes across the enterprise
  • Track and respond to available KPI measurements, and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Identify and prioritize process optimization and harmonization opportunities through assessing Ideas submitted via GBS Innovation Funnel and progressing them through Proof of Concept (PoC) to the deployment phase
  • Qualify and quantify process optimization potential (focus on tangible benefits, developing ROI calculations, Business Case to justify)
  • A strategic thinker able to establish and communicate a global vision, yet detail-oriented
  • Has a high degree of process and functional knowledge with a thorough understanding of the end-to-end processes, as well as knowledge of the functional organization, business requirements, and existing technology solutions
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including management of complex global and regional cross-functional project teams, to lead and drive team performance and accomplishments
  • Global IT system knowledge and experience (e.g., Oracle, JDE, OMS/DMS, Phase III/IMS, RMS/Magic, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to re-engineer processes and performed change management to ensure adoption of associates
  • Ability to liaise between the business and information systems teams at a senior level; provides strong negotiating skills to reach workable resolutions
  • Action-oriented and willing to be bold in adopting new standards
  • Willingness to travel (25%)

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience

  • A BSc or BA in Finance, Accounting, Business, Statistics, Computer Science or degree related to specific business area
  • At least 8 years of experience in a similar function
  • Thorough grasp of the following core skill set or experience with:
  • Knowledge of Business Systems & Processes: Knowledge of supported business systems, system capabilities and operational knowledge of business processes and workflow for applicable business unit/division
  • Project Management: Planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling projects; ensuring efficient utilization of resources and appropriate mitigation of risk to achieve project objectives
  • Leading Teams: Interacting with/leading cross-functional teams to achieve defined objectives through consulting and positive interaction with culturally diverse team members, external partners and clients
  • Communicate Technical Information: Effectively communicating and presenting complex technical data (both verbally and written) to influence all levels and global audiences; helps others understand technical data and translate it into actionable business insights
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and understand the broader view. Demonstrates an understanding of the long-term, "big picture" view of needs and opportunities
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation
  • Relationship Management: Ability to develop and maintain effective and productive relationships, including ability to influence, negotiate and manage conflicts effectively and constructively with clients, vendors and peers
