Responsibilities: Develop trip and lesson plans for student camps Create and gather camp specific program materials, as and when required Scout routes, schools, and areas prior to leading/assisting camps and/or trips Ensure participants and students\xe2\x80\x99 safety, fun and complete satisfaction Be familiar with and follow all camp and/or outdoor trip leader guidelines; Work with staff to develop and implement engaging new lesson plans for youth outdoor education Share educational concepts, including natural history, cultural, historical information, and environmental knowledge with participants on outings Care for participants and students\xe2\x80\x99 needs, handle emergencies and contingencies Other tasks as and when required Qualifications: Desire to lead, motivate, and manage groups of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds Experience leading groups of youth in outdoor recreation activities Ability to manage logistics in an organized fashion Flexible with work assignments and roles Knowledge of associated skills and equipment for leading outdoor recreation activities Confidence speaking in front of a group Commitment to uphold the School\xe2\x80\x99s policies and protocols and act in a professional and courteous manner at all times A positive outlook and genuine interest in the success of the business Requirements: At least a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree A reliable form of transportation (car, bus, bike) to get you and the necessary equipment to the activity site Good physical condition. Must be able to lift 50lbs repeatedly Current CPR and First Aid certifications (can acquire upon hiring) \xe2\x80\x93 Wilderness First Aid or higher preferred Experience in a management role \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in successfully managing and motivating teams 3 Experience in delivering forest schools or outdoor education Experience of working and implementing the Curriculum for Excellence framework Good knowledge and understanding of the safeguarding children obligations Someone who is highly organised, reliable, self-motivated and a teamplayer.
