We are now looking for a
dedicated and hands-on Outlet Chef
to lead our kitchen team, uphold food quality standards, and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Role Overview
As an Outlet Chef, you will be responsible for managing all back-of-house operations at your outlet -- including cooking during service, leading kitchen staff, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and consistency. This role requires leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure while inspiring your team to deliver their best.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the outlet kitchen team during service
Prepare, cook, and plate food to company SOP and quality standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations including stock control, ordering, and waste management
Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen team members
Maintain kitchen hygiene, organisation, and food safety standards
Complete daily paperwork, temperature logs, and stock reports accurately
Monitor portion control and minimise food wastage
Ensure consistency and speed of service during busy periods
Collaborate with management to meet sales and quality goals
Applicant Requirements
Minimum
2 years of experience
leading or supervising a kitchen team (restaurant or hotel background preferred)
Strong practical cooking skills, especially in Western cuisine and seafood
Able to lead by example and maintain professionalism at all times
Organised, punctual, and detail-oriented
Knowledge of kitchen management, stock rotation, and food costing
Good leadership and communication skills
Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively
Willing to work
6 days per week
, including weekends and public holidays
Positive work attitude and strong sense of responsibility
Local Malaysians only
Able to start immediately preferred
