Overseas Internal Audit & Compliance Specialist

Job Description

Key Responsibilities



1. Ensure Control & Compliance



Develop and implement internal control measures, segregation of duties, and risk controls tailored to overseas operations. Conduct ongoing audits to identify risks, compliance gaps, and process vulnerabilities. Provide guidance and training to stakeholders to enhance compliance awareness and strengthen risk culture.

2. Lead Business Process Improvement



Evaluate overseas business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities. Use data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and process mapping to diagnose issues and enhance workflows. Support the development and updating of policies, SOPs, and action plans to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency.

3. Strengthen Governance



Assist in establishing governance structures and decision-making frameworks for overseas operations. Collaborate with management to implement governance processes aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

4. Support Change Management



Conduct workshops, training, and awareness programs to reinforce control and compliance initiatives. Facilitate smooth adoption of new processes, policies, and systems across overseas teams.

5. Foster Continuous Improvement Culture



Drive a culture of continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and operational excellence. Gather stakeholder feedback to refine controls and introduce innovative solutions for emerging risks.

Qualifications & Skills



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA) are strongly preferred. At least 3-5 years of experience in internal audit, internal control, or risk management. Experience in logistics or supply chain industries is an advantage. Strong understanding of internal control frameworks such as COSO and international compliance standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across cultures.
