We pledge to make Prudential a place where you can Connect, Grow, and Succeed.Reporting to the Manager of General Accounting & Reconciliation, this position shall manage the Bank Reconciliation section by ensuring that the bank reconciliation process is performed on a daily basis by following the applicable standard operating procedures and internal policies.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:Review the reconciliation of receipts and payments of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s operating bank accounts.Review the investigation performed on the unreconciled items to ensure the open items are reconciled and resolved in a timely manner.Review the resolution of open items and ensure that they are matched correctly in the Bank Reconciliation System.Review the proposed journal entries to resolve the open items.Ensure the GL bank balance is reconciled against the bank statement balance.Monitor and track the aging of the bank reconciliation open items.Prepare bank reconciliation month end report.Review the validation of merchant fees for premium collections from all channels.Update the relevant standard operating procedures to ensure relevance, as and when required.Support, guide and lead team members in the investigation and resolution of the open items.Work closely with the relevant stakeholders on any issue arising from bank reconciliation.Provide support on material issues identified from audit by external auditors, GwIA & Regional SOX team for bank reconciliation related area.Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for Bank Reconciliation System.Regularly engage in systems enhancement initiatives to improvise Finance Operations processes.Assist on any ad hoc & administrative tasks upon request.Job Specifications:EducationBachelor or Degree in finance, accountancy, banking, investment, economics or equivalent.Internationally recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, etc.) or working towards designation will be an added advantage.ExperienceAt least 5 years of working experience in the financial services industry such as insurance or banking.At least 2 years of working experience in a supervisory and managerial role.Working experience in the financial services industry such as insurance or banking will be an added advantage.Special Business Knowledge and SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office applications & financial accounting system.Knowledge in any bank reconciliation system will be an advantage.Strong analytical and resolution skills.OthersGood command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.Good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.Independent, organized and possess good work ethics with a positive attitude.Flexible and able to adapt in a dynamic environment.Attention to details, meticulous and diligent.Strict compliance with all applicable deadlines and able to work under pressure.Responsible and willing to learn.Prudential is an equal opportunity employer.
