Job Summary

UCSI Schools is seeking a passionate and experienced

Part-Time Accounts Teacher

to teach secondary students at our Subang Jaya Campus. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Principles of Accounting aligned with the KSSM syllabus, helping students develop financial literacy and analytical skills within a flexible, part-time teaching schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

Plan and deliver effective, engaging lessons in Principles of Accounting for secondary students on a part-time schedule, aligned with the KSSM syllabus. Develop lesson plans, assignments, and assessments focused on curriculum objectives and student progress. Provide clear instruction on accounting concepts, ensuring understanding of both theory and practical applications. Monitor and assess student performance, offering constructive feedback tailored to individual needs.

Curriculum Development and Enhancement

Assist in designing instructional materials and activities to promote Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in accounting. Incorporate modern teaching methodologies and digital tools to enhance student engagement. Prepare students for national examinations (SPM), including financial statements, ledgers, and double-entry bookkeeping.

Student Support and Development

Identify and support students needing additional help through targeted interventions. Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and financial literacy aligned with the KSSM curriculum. Promote a positive learning attitude and growth mindset among students.

Collaboration and Professional Engagement

Collaborate with academic staff to ensure curriculum consistency and effective teaching practices. Participate in relevant school activities and professional development opportunities as per part-time availability. Stay updated on curriculum changes and best practices in accounting education.

Classroom and Resource Management

Maintain a supportive and organized classroom environment during teaching sessions. Use educational resources and technology effectively to enhance teaching and student learning.
Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Education, or related field. Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., Diploma in Education, PGCE) preferred.

Experience

Proven experience teaching Principles of Accounting at the secondary school level. Familiarity with KSSM syllabus and SPM assessment requirements in Accounting.

Skills

Strong accounting subject knowledge. Effective classroom management and communication skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve academic success. Competent in using digital tools and educational technology for teaching.

Work Schedule:

Part-time, flexible hours to be agreed upon based on school timetable and availability.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM50.00 - RM70.00 per hour
