Reporting to the Payment Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, adherence to payment policies and procedures, and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.Payment Processing:

  • Execute and oversee the end-to-end payment process, including invoice verification, validation, and approval.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of payment transactions, including proper coding, documentation, and authorization.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely resolution of payment issues.
  • Manage payment batching, scheduling, and release in accordance with established timelines and policies.
Vendor Management:
  • Liaise with vendors to obtain necessary documentation, resolve payment inquiries, and address vendor concerns.
  • Maintain vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and banking details, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to evaluate vendor performance and support vendor selection and negotiation processes.
Process Improvement and Compliance:
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and standardization to improve efficiency and effectiveness of payment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements related to payment processing.
  • Implement best practices and recommend enhancements to payment systems, tools, and procedures to mitigate risks and improve controls.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Generate and analyze payment-related reports, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance, identify trends, and provide insights to management.
  • Prepare periodic financial reconciliations, accruals, and variance analyses related to payments, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience 1-2 years in payment processing, accounts payable, or financial operations, preferably within a shared services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, ERP systems, and payment processing tools (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, Workday).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
