Assessment Officer

(Pegawai Penilai, or PP) in the context of the Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) electrical field is a certified professional responsible for evaluating the competency of candidates seeking SKM certification. This role ensures candidates meet the standards set by the Department of Skills Development (JPK). Key Responsibilities

Deliver and assess training:

The officer is involved in teaching and evaluating candidates based on the National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS).

Verify skills competency:

For individuals seeking certification through prior experience (recognition of prior learning), the Assessing Officer evaluates proof of their skills.

Guide trainees:

They monitor the progress of trainees and guide them in achieving required competencies.

Manage certification process:

They ensure all assessments and documentation comply with JPK standards for certification approval.
