To assist the Cook in preparing and cooking of all meals such as breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea.
To assist Cook in planning the menu.
To be responsible for cleaning of cutlery/utensils after every meal.
To be responsible for cleaning of the kitchen floor, stove and all kitchen utensils and equipment.
To wash, clean and maintain the refrigerator in a most hygienic condition.
To ensure that all food are properly cooked and kept in a most hygienic.
To ensure effective usage of raw materials and ingredients and avoid wastage of food.
To prepare specific diet for residents as and when required.
To control, count and record every item taken out from store and raw ingredients/food for cooking.
To assist in ordering of raw ingredients/dried food and provisions for cooking weekly.
To assist Cook in ordering vegetables and meaty goods.
To assist Cook in the upkeep of the kitchen and store inclusive of all cooking utensils.
Perform such other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate superior.
REQUIREMENTS
Good cooking knowledge and skills in cooking, preferably in hospital environment.
Good knowledge on food handling and preparation
Preferably with 1 years of working experience in the related field
