Job Highlights Friendly working environment Career development opportunities Performance bonus - Provide a quality service in line with the direction and vision of the Centre. - Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. - Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals. Dispense patients with accurate of prescriptions medications, monitoring patient drug therapies. - Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions, supervises the work results of support personnel. - Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals and counselling patients on drug therapies. Protects patients by adhering to infection-control protocols. - Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration by monitoring nursing unit inspection. - Ensure work practices are complies with the requirements of the law and the Centre policies/standard operating procedures (SOP) e.g., Poison Act, Dangerous Drugs Act, Poison (Psychotropic Substances) Regulations and accreditation standards. Maintains current registration, studies existing and new legislation, anticipates legislation, and advises management on needed actions. - Facilitate the management of pharmacy inventory and formulary by maintaining the records of controlled substances and removes outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory. - Develops the Centre staff\xe2\x80\x99s pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs and training pharmacy staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and health care professionals.
