Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription and non-prescription medications. Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner. Receive and process prescriptions from patients and healthcare providers. Accurately enter prescription information into the pharmacy system. Prepare, label, and package medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Maintain accurate inventory of medications and supplies; restock shelves as necessary. Handle cash register operations and process payments. Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries or refer them to the pharmacist. Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations. Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent (required). Completion of a Pharmacy Assistant course or certification (preferred but not always required). Previous experience in a pharmacy or customer service role (an asset). Basic understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and medications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Basic math and computer skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

May require standing for extended periods. May involve lifting and stocking inventory. Schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on pharmacy hours.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
