Job descriptions:
Having basic knowledge in phlebotomy procedures and handle precise work in the time span set forth by the immediate superior for the benefit of the patient. Able to do blood taking minimal supervision. And able to explain & educate patient related to the laboratory testing. Verifies test requisitions by comparing information with nursing station log; bringing discrepancies to the attention of unit personnel. Verifies patient by reading patient identification with two identifiers. Collects therapeutic drug-monitoring assays by collaborating with nursing personnel to ensure appropriate drug dose to collection time Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique, following department procedures; observing isolation procedures. Obtains blood specimens by performing veni punctures and finger/heel pricks strictly follow time
