POSITION SUMMARY
To provide field & hands-on support to pipeline engineer & maintenance manager for all aspects of pipeline upkeeping, integrity, site liaison with all 3rd parties and safe operation in accordance with Air Products standard and local authority requirement and practices.
Responsible primarily to carry out and uphold all required pipeline including customer metering station maintenance program, participate and support pipeline and metering station commissioning tasks, identifying area of improvement and participate in budget proposal, attend, and supervise all activities conducted by external / 3rd party contractor involving our pipeline network when required and providing support in other related matters such as plant TAR or major breakdowns when it is necessary. Able to attend on call (Ad-hoc) for any pipeline related matters.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTIBILITIES
- Duly carry out Air Products maintenance program PM02 & PM11 related to pipeline and metering station in reference to available standard task. Among the PM & inspection tasks including cathodic protection survey, cathodic protection reading take at all test posts, pipeline markers & labels inspection, soil-to-air interface inspection, product (O2/N2) pipeline leaks survey, pipeline damage, corrosion survey & inspection, pipeline valves & meters testing & inspection, and right of way (ROW) patrolling
- Document all required finding of maintenance work executed into Air Products portal or shared folders
- Provide summary of pipeline maintenance work reporting in MS office (EXCEL and POWER POINT) formats
- Carry out regular pipeline patrols, document all observation properly, report and escalate observation of interest to pipeline engineer & maintenance manager
- Supervise all maintenance, modification projects and rectification work carried out by vendors related to pipeline and metering station
- Participate in internal audit conducted by AOTS (operation technical experts) on pipeline and metering station related matters
- Support and supervise all activity (Excavation and UG utility detection) by external utility contractors like TNB, City Water, Gas Malaysia and TELCO companies involving Air Products and KIG pipeline network when it is required including tracing our pipeline and pegging
- To work with 3rd party contractor in executing trial pit or pot holing to physically locate Air Products / KIG pipeline
- Support new pipeline and metering station commissioning work in close collaboration with project team
- To be able and support plant maintenance team on major breakdown and TAR activities when the need arises
- To participate and comply all Air Products safety (EHS) requirements such as LSO training, SWP, BSP meetings, APT submission and WRA drafting for all activity carried out
- To support Pipeline & Facility Engineer & Maintenance Manager on all facility maintenance work such as building repairs, plant lighting, electrical plant socket outlets, roofing, structures, diesel engine, generators, vehicles etc. as requested as backup roles when the need arises, as delegated by immediate superior

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Certificate / Diploma in mechanical / inspection / mechatronic / materials / corrosion engineering or any equivalent engineering coursework
- Experienced in pipeline terminology, fabrication, inspection, underground pipeline, excavation & civil work, welding, cathodic protection, materials inspection, corrosion check & also mechanical maintenance work hands-on aspect
- Minimum 5 years of pipeline & piping related experience with contractor supervisory / management work experience as advantages
- Able to communicate both verbally and written proficient in English and Malay language
- Proficient in utilizing MS office such as EXCEL, WORDS and POWERPOINT application
- Knowledge in AUTOCAD will be added advantages
- Able to interpret utility, P&ID, ISO & underground drawings
