Position title: Piping Designer Working Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Project name: TBC Tenure: Permanent under SBM Salary Offered: Open for negotiations. Job Responsibilities Piping Designer executes piping design and 3D modelling on a project complying to quality, planning, budget, and scope, and is responsible for piping design activities and deliverables on relevant area assigned to him/her. The Piping Designer reports directly to Section Lead Design. Depending on the type and scope of the project there may be several Section Lead Design, each managing a specific part of the engineering scope (e.g., Vessel or Topsides and Mooring area). Besides this role on a project, Piping Designer is also responsible for the improvement of the Piping design activity with respect to project control, quality, and efficiency. Job Requirements Must be able to take a hands-on-role in the development of piping routing and equipment layout. These includes the capability of piping design problem solving, complying to design best practices, operability, and human factor engineering. Must be able to understand Material / Mechanical handling philosophy and studies. Must be able to understand safety layout & display good knowledge of safety Equipment used in offshore industry. Having the knowledge in FPSO industry is an added advantage. Good knowledge of Topside/Marine process design and systems. Understand well Process P&ID and Line List. Familiar with class rules (ABS, BV, DNV, etc.) and international codes & standards (ASME B 31.3 / B31.4 / B31.8, ASTM, API, BS, MSS SP, NACE). Knowledge of Brazilian rules and regulations an added advantage. Able to adherence to company procedures (SBM Group Technical Standard and Engineering Standard). 3D software work experience is a must: E3D / PDMS & AutoCAD
