Job Purpose

To ensure proper selection, specification, and application of piping materials that meet project requirements, industry codes, and client standards, while supporting design, procurement, and construction activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate can be appointed as a Field Engineer for a project. Prepare deliverables as delegated by the Superior. Establish Piping Material Service Classes. Engineering calculation for establishment of piping material classes. Preparation of material requisition including preparation of MTO summary. Perform technical bid evaluations of piping materials. Check and review vendor documents. Preparation of piping work requisition including preparation of work volume summary. Produce CDBM, PRBI, CMP reports ( material corrosion inspection related) Check and review of piping drawings Tendering work Perform any other functions as allocated by Superior. Details discipline task refers to specific Discipline Work Instruction

Qualifications

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent field. Registered engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) 3 - 6 years' experience in executing engineering work in Oil & Gas Industry Able to plan and execute most of the engineering tasks, calculations, and detailed design work and site work with minimal supervision. Able to prepare cost estimation and technical proposals with minimal supervision. Able to coordinate designers and drafters in the same group. Able to coordinate vendors involved in the project. Understanding of Codes and Standards of piping such as ASME B31.3, B31.4; B31.8 ; ASME B16; NACE; Understanding PTS and PMRC; API 570, API 571 & API580 will be added advantage. Capable of working as team in Engineering multi-disciplinary environment

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
