The Planner is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of major infrastructure and construction works.
This role supports project teams by providing accurate planning insights, progress tracking, and forecasting.
The Planner plays a key role in coordinating with multiple stakeholders, identifying schedule risks, and ensuring that all project milestones align with contractual and operational requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop detailed baseline schedules for projects using planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
Monitor project progress, update schedules, and prepare progress reports, dashboards, and analyses for management review.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and consultants to gather and validate project progress data.
Identify schedule risks, delays, and potential bottlenecks; propose mitigation measures and recovery plans.
Prepare and maintain work-breakdown structures (WBS), resource loading, manpower histograms, and progress curves.
Support project teams in tracking critical path activities and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
Conduct schedule impact assessments for variations, design changes, and unforeseen conditions.
Participate in project meetings, providing accurate planning inputs and highlighting any deviations from the plan.
Assist in preparing claims, extension-of-time (EOT) submissions, and supporting documentation as required.
Ensure planning deliverables comply with contractual, technical, and operational requirements of the project.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project planning within the construction or infrastructure industry.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 is highly preferred; experience with Microsoft Project is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, project management principles, and industry best practices.
Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects such as highways, rail, or building developments.
Ability to analyze complex data, forecast project timelines, and prepare detailed planning reports.
Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple project teams.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing timelines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
