Position: Planner Responsibilities & Dutie: 1. Production & Material Planning
Develop and maintain an accurate production schedule based on material, labor, and equipment availability to meet customer Request Ship Dates (RSD).
Create and update batches in the ERP system and maintain daily production plans in Excel and ERP to track plan fulfillment against targets.
Coordinate with Production and Procurement teams to ensure seamless production operations and resolve material shortages or bottlenecks.
Monitor and proactively manage the impact of schedule delays, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize disruptions.
Expedite and follow up on urgent orders to meet critical deadlines.
Ensure production schedules are adjusted effectively to maintain efficiency and on-time delivery.
2. Inventory Management
Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock levels based on customer demand and business needs.
Collaborate with Procurement and Warehouse teams to minimize excess inventory while preventing shortages.
Maintain ERP system data, including Package Bill of Material (PBoM), MRP planning, lead time, and material categories to support accurate planning.
3. Process Improvement & Collaboration
Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with Customer Service, Production, and Quality teams to enhance internal workflows and overall satisfaction.
Support the implementation of Lean initiatives and drive process enhancements within the department.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Perform any additional assignments as directed by the manager.
Requirement: Must have:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a planner in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to procurement and supply chain functions. Experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Effective communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).
Good to have:
Experience in pharmaceutical plants is a plus
prefer candidate with experience in Oracle system
