An exciting Planner job has just become available at one of the most respected manufacturing and production firms based in Penang. Reporting directly to the Planning Manager, this is a role for professionals who is well versed in planning. About the Planner Role:
The person is responsible for planning functions, such as to maximise productivity, product quality, and customer satisfaction while minimising cost. Moreover, the Planner will follow up on availability of materials, delays and order changes, ensuring customer requirements are met. Key responsibilities:

• Utilise SAP system to plan and translate demand and supply requirements for work orders
• Create and complete production orders in SAP, input cycle count data and reconcile variances
• Create and maintain production order integrity and documentation
• Liaise with purchasing department to ensure purchase orders meet SAP demand
• Liaise with the sales department to meet customer order commit dates
• Seek continuous improvements and initiate corrective actions where applicable
• Support new product introduction teams
• Review and provide input to engineering change orders. Provide material impact analysis and implement approved changes in production as necessary
• Resolve all work order discrepancies within one business day, cycle count related problems within two business days and MRB issues within five days
• Notify the Operations Director and Manufacturing Engineering on routing/BOM discrepancies
• Coordinate on-time delivery of normal production and engineering projects, as appropriate
• Participate in cross-functional team coordination
• Track demand trends and makes appropriate proposals to management to avoid stock-out situations
• Serve as the primary resource for shipping, receiving and logistics (including export compliance paperwork and other necessary shipping documents)
• Input product forecasting to SAP system to drive material demand as per forecast from business unit for order fulfilment
• Perform other duties as assigned

To succeed in this role, you must be familiar with ERP system, especially with SAP knowledge is a privilege. Familiarity with shipping, receiving and logistics is a strong plus. Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree, preferably in a business discipline
• Minimum of three to five years of planning, or equivalent, experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience and working understanding of engineering change orders, BOMs, and work order management
