Expected Start Date: 05/08/2023
- To manage the operations of Planning & Project Control teams
- Provide support to all the Project Planners / Sr. Project Planners and to be responsible for departmental / project site deliverables;
- Be responsible for overall Planning functions of the department / project;
- Develop construction programs for medium to large-scale projects;
- Maintain and update schedules, collect actual progress data, and evaluate project delays by effective monitoring methodologies;
- Able to understand and prepare complex Delay Analysis programmes to assess project delays
- Oversees specialized Planning functions for large-scale proposals and tenders;
- Provides overall management of division-related / project-related planning issues;
- Evaluate and optimizes operations and activities of Planning Department;
- Reviews reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications;
- Assigns work to Planners and ensures that appropriate guidance / coaching is provided;
- Review overall project status with the Project Control Team / Project Management Team and recommend mitigative actions where necessary;
- Ensures that the Management is kept fully informed on the status of deliverables including any trends, events, or emerging issues of significance
- Candidate must be a Malaysian or Resident and possess at least a Bachelor\'s Degree, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil), or equivalent.
- At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position and at least 5 years in Planning.
- Experience in planning of engineering projects \xe2\x80\x93 Rail/Metro/LRT/MRT, Road or Building projects
- Extensive knowledge of software tools Primavera (P6) and MS Project
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office software i.e. Excel, Word, Power point
- Good interpersonal skills and able to manage teams effectively
- Fluent English (oral and writing)
- Willingness to travel/relocate
