SUMMARY OF ROLE

1. Establish and monitor planning activities based on customers' orders, which include material purchasing to support production to meet on-time delivery for the Key Accounts.

2. Execution of direct and indirect purchasing strategies to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness of the materials supplied to meet production needs.

3. Sourcing new suppliers and distributors to ensure material cost competitiveness to support new projects

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plan and schedule NPI/Production orders based on material availability and production capacity by working closely with our in-house and subcontractors.

2. Establish a weekly production schedule that includes releasing work orders and ensuring on-time delivery of shipments based on key account requirements.

3. Take charge of material shortages for production continuity, warehouse for any receiving issues, as well as Engineering and QC for any rework process or any BOM issues.

4. Co-ordinate with Customer Service on sales order status, arrange shipment, and ensure timely delivery.

5. Responsible for processing purchase orders, tracking orders, and liaising with suppliers regarding material quality issues with suppliers to ensure smooth material supply to meet manufacturing needs.

6. Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials from both local and overseas vendors & evaluating quotations to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the projects.

7. Work with cross-functional teams for cost-reduction projects.

8. Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

JOB EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.

2. 3~5 years in a procurement (sourcing or buying) capacity.

3. Experience in purchasing wire harnessing and electronic components is preferred.

4. Worked in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment is advantageous.

5. Computer literate, hands-on experience in MS Exel.

6. Able to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
