Plant Accountant (manufacturing)(shah Alam)

Job Description
The role requires you to have past experience with BOM, cost analysis, and strategic cost savings initiatives. You would be based in the manufacturing plant. The role is reporting to the Finance Director.
This role would require you to:
- Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database
- Plan and record variable costs (e.g. purchases of raw material and operations costs)
- Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
- Prepare budgeting reports and cost forecasts
- Analyse and report profit margins
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing
- Conduct physical stock count and recommend a cost-effective solution
- Liaise with operational people, engineers, and other internal
A successful candidate would be required to possess the following:
- Possess at least a Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
- Minimum 3-7 years in a manufacturing environment relevant to Costing
- Must have Manufacturing experience
- Able to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Good communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
