Job Description

The Plant maintenance job scope involves ensuring the smooth operation, repair and upkeep of equipment across various production lines.

1. Powder Production Line

Equipment Maintenance:

Routine inspection and maintenance of grinding mills, crushers, conveyors, and dust collectors. Ensuring proper lubrication of machinery to minimize wear and tear. Monitoring the performance of equipment, identifying any irregularities, and performing necessary repairs or replacements.

Mechanical and Electrical Systems:

Troubleshooting electrical issues related to motors, control panels, and instrumentation. Performing mechanical repairs on components like bearings, belts, pulleys, and gears. Repairing chute and steel structures (welding)

Preventive Maintenance:

Scheduling and conducting preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns. Replacing worn-out parts proactively to maintain the efficiency of the production line.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Ensuring all maintenance activities are conducted following safety standards and regulations. Keeping work areas clean to prevent accidents, especially around dust-prone equipment.

Calibration and Testing:

Regular calibration of equipment for quality control in powder particle size. Testing the performance of equipment after repairs to ensure operational standards are met.

2. Colour Sorting Production Line

Sorting Equipment Maintenance:

Routine inspection and cleaning of color sorting machines and optical sensors. Ensuring all mechanical components, such as conveyor belts and reject mechanisms, are in good working condition.

Sensor and Camera Systems:

Checking and calibrating optical sensors and cameras to ensure accurate sorting. Replacing or repairing faulty sensors, light sources, or camera components as needed.

Software and Control Systems:

Troubleshooting software and control system issues to maintain consistent sorting quality. Updating software for sorting equipment when necessary.

Dust and Contaminant Control:

Maintaining dust extraction systems to keep sensors and cameras clean. Regular cleaning of the sorting area to prevent material contamination.

Equipment Testing and Calibration:

Performing tests to ensure color sorting accuracy and adjusting settings as required. Regularly calibrating the sorting system to meet quality standards.

3. Sand Making Production Line

Crusher and Grinder Maintenance:

Routine checks and maintenance on crushers, impactors, and grinders to prevent blockages and ensure smooth operation. Monitoring wear and tear on crusher linings, hammers, and grinding plates, and replacing them as needed.

Screening and Washing Systems:

Regular inspection and cleaning of screening equipment and sand washers. Ensuring proper operation of vibrating screens and replacing worn-out screens.

Conveyor Systems:

Maintenance of conveyors used for transporting materials within the sand-making line. Checking and adjusting belt tension, replacing rollers, and ensuring there are no material blockages.

Pump and Water Management:

Servicing pumps used for water circulation in sand washing systems. Maintaining the water recycling system to minimize waste.

Safety and Environmental Compliance:

Ensuring all safety guards are in place on moving equipment. Conducting risk assessments and following procedures to minimize environmental impact.

Requirements:

Possess at least a Degree in Mechanical and Electronics Engineering, or any related professional certificate.

A minimum of 8 years of experience in maintaining Quartz mining machines and equipment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Work Location: Kanthan, Perak.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
